As with any project – A successful well crafted Halloween costume takes time and planning. I’m starting early this year and would encourage anyone interested in creating their own start planning ASAP.
All parts shown were 3-D printing on the CITRIS Invention Lab’s Ultimaker printers or Laser Cut on our Trotec Speedy 400.
Wolverine’s Claws where printed from a file found on Thingverse, and printed using Soft PLA (a specialty material not regularly in stock here). The Bullet was printed in silver PLA and the dog tags where cut and etched on metallic silver acrylic.
I plan on showcasing several past costume builds and process builds in the next few weeks leading up to this year’s halloween.
Projects I hope to tackle (time allowing) are Spartan helmet (made out of Cardboard), the ARC reactor (with help from Mitchell for programming), and a Bane mask from the dark knight rises.
