Our representative, congresswoman Barbara Lee, toured the Invention Lab today as part of a visit to learn about Berkeley’s activities in innovation and advanced manufacturing. Invention Lab students and foundry teams showed off projects on low-cost air quality sensing, handheld CNC tools, and bio-inspired robots. Lab staff also put rapid prototyping into action by sketching, designing, fabricating and assembling a memento for the visit – all in the space of an afternoon.
